Original 1st printing 17" square concert poster for the Grateful Dead with the New Riders of the Purple Sage (unlisted) and Notary Sojac at Lane (OR) Community College on 1/22/1971. Art by Jeff Dayne, show was a benefit for the "White Bird Clinic", presented by "Bullfrog Information Company" (the promoters of the two "Bullfrog" festivals in 1968 and 1969), ultra-thin glossy stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; a light degree of corner creasing, a few diagonal/vertical bends in the left/right margins and some scattered handling/pinch dings, otherwise fine. SUPER-scarce Grateful Dead poster, this is the first one of these I've ever seen. The show was apparently a Ken Babbs-MC'd affair with quite a few Merry Pranksters in attendance (see below). Be sure to check out additional listings from this extensive (and VERY cool) Portland poster and handbill collection, including GD posters from Bullfrog 2, Springer's Ballroom and the 1972 "Field Trip" show in Veneta.
