Original 1st printing 19&1/2 x 12&3/5" concert poster for Country Joe & the Fish (with Hawk-unbilled) at Aaron Russo's Electric Theatre (shortly before it became the Kinetic Playground) in Chicago, IL on 7/3-4/1968. Artist unknown, medium-thick flat index stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+) condition; just a hint of surface wear (a tiny smudge/ding or two at most), otherwise fine. One of the more overtly political Country Joe posters, this one incorporates Irving Penn's photo (from a 1968 issue of "Look" magazine) of noted SF poster artist Alton Kelley in the collage in the blue field at top left. One of the coolest Country Joe images of all-time and a VERY scarce regional item.
