Original 1st printing 5&3/8 x 8&3/8" double-sided* concert/event handbill for the 1st San Francisco Pop Festival, held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds near Pleasanton, CA from 10/26-27/1968. (*map/ticket outlets listed on reverse)
Designer unknown/not listed, handbill lists appearances by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Buddy Miles Express, the Chambers Brothers Johnny Rivers, Jose Feliciano, Fraternity of Man, Iron Butterfly, Canned Heat, Eric Burdon & the Animals, Loading Zone, Rejoice and the Grass Roots. (*not every band listed appeared, and there were a few additional acts not mentioned on the handbill that did appear, including Mad River and Lee Michaels)
Thin flat stock handbill is in excellent (B+) condition; aside from a couple of very well-hidden soft bends, a pair of pin holes in the top/bottom center margins and a light handling ding or two, it is a GREAT-looking example of this oddball California festival item from 1968.
