Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 19&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 9/16-17/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (central image borrowed from Edmund J. Sullivan), image ("Skeleton & Roses") is # 26 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are tack holes in the upper left/right corners, along with a couple of tiny corner creases, a series of light moisture stains/soft smudges around the outer border area, a small 1/2" tear and pressure crease in the upper right margin, a dark spot in the lower right corner (about 3/4 the size of a dime), a few stray edge dings around the outer margin area, light handling and a bit of light pencil scratch and a series of dark glue residue marks on the reverse, otherwise not too bad- the red pass of ink on this one is REALLY strong and the image area looks VERY nice.
GREAT-looking 1st printing "Skeleton & Roses" poster, originally sourced right out of Haight-Ashbury!
