Original 1st printing 11 x 8&1/2" concert/event flyer for San Francisco State University's homecoming dance, the "Edwardian Ball", held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 11/6/1966, featuring appearances by Jefferson Airplane and Daemon Lover.
Design by Royce Vaughn (after an image by Jean De Bouiller), image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this show falls on the same date as the final show of the BG 35 Muddy Waters show), and is a campus-only-distributed alternate to the more ubiquitous Mouse image featured on page 154 of the AOR.
This version lists all of the events that were held at SF State over the weekend, including a rock dance with Blueshouse Basement at the Women's Soccer Field and a performance by the San Francisco Mime Troupe ("A Minstrel Show") at the Men's Gym on 11/4 and the "Ray Hackett Traditional Formal Coronation Ball" at the Fairmount Hotel on 11/5.
Thin flat stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are a few thin soft horizontal/vertical bends along the upper right and left margins, along with a touch of edge toning, a few soft handling dings here and there, a set of nearly-invisible pin holes in all four corner tips, a tiny nip tear in the bottom center margin and a thin 2" stress crease in the left center margin, otherwise fine.
MIGHTILY scarce late-'66 Fillmore/SF State item, this is the first example I have had for sale.
