Original 1st printing 5&7/8 x 8&7/8" postcard-backed handbill/card for a San Fransisco Zen Center benefit held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 3/15/1967, featuring an appearance by legendary SF Beat poet Gary Snyder (with Mahalila Mandalagraphy)

 

 Design by Gompers Saijo, image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this event falls chronologically between the BG 54 and BG 55 shows).

 

 Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock postcard is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a slight vertical curl to the paper, along with a thin 1" diagonal bend in the upper right corner, a pair of thin vertical cuff marks in the lower left/right margins, a minor edge ding or two lurking around the outer margin area and a few stray soft fingerprint smudges here and there, otherwise fine.

 

 Neat little early-'67 Fillmore card from a fairly obscure non-rock event.
