Original 1st printing 11 x 15&5/8" concert poster for Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker) in their final (until 2005) appearance on U.S. soil at the Rhode Island Auditorium in Providence, RI on 11/4/1968.

 Design by Mad Peck Studios, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 405 (plate 4.226).

 Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; the piece was mounted (in the 1960's!) to a piece of thick chipboard (Nelson Showcard of Metuchen, NJ) for stability, along with a small tape pull in the bottom center margin, a tiny spot above the "r" of "Cream", a tiny edge ding or two, a slightly soft/rounded top left corner tip and a touch of toning, otherwise fine. According to the consignor, the method used to mount the piece can be reversed, but it looks pretty good as it is.

 One of the most oft-requested Cream posters from the Art of Rock, this specimen came directly from a long-time New England musician/music-business personality who held onto it for 50 years. GREAT provenance on this one.
