Original 1st printing 17&1/8 x 23" cardboard concert/event poster for the Easter-Rock Festival, held at Lockhart Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL from 3/30-4/1/1969. Poster lists performances by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Canned Heat, MC5, Grass Roots, Steve Miller (Blues Band), Chuck Berry, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Three Dog Night, Morning Glory, Frut of the Loom, Buffalo Springfield, Sweetwater and Tiny Tim (*not known exactly who did and didn't perform, but the Festival did apparently go on. Design by Linda Segul (recycled from a previous poster), thick glossy-coated cardboard stock poster is in used (B-) condition; the poster has a fairly heavy amount of surface wear/creasing, large chunks of paper missing from the corners, clear tape remnants in the upper left/right corners, a semi-pronounced horizontal center crease, several stray tack/pin holes, numerous tiny edge dings... as you can see from the photo, this one was most likely (hastily) removed from public display at the time of the event and enjoyed thoroughly by the previous owner(s). A well-worn example. CONDITIONAL ISSUES ASIDE, this is STILL an INCREDIBLY SCARCE Florida festival item from a mostly forgotten event. One interesting tidbit I DID find out was that the MC5 were barred from entering the state due to the publication of a somewhat questionable photo in the "Berkeley Barb", so needless to say, they did NOT perform.
