Original 1st printing 14&1/4 x 20" concert poster for Quicksilver Messenger Service appearing with the Sons of Champlin and Taj Mahal and the Blue Flames at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 10/27-29/1967.

 Art by Rick Griffin, image ("Sunday Funnies" or "Mornin' Papa") is # 89 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 Medium flat index stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; this example is fairly heavily toned, along with tack holes/tiny wedge pulls in all four corners, handling, a series of light pin-prick surface stains, numerous tiny creases/small bends, a moisture stain in the lower right margin, a fair amount of edge wear.... definitely on the used side, but not without its charms.

Conditional issues aside, it is still an original 1st-issue Griffin poster from 1967- a fine bargain for the non-discriminating collector.
