Original 1st printing 14 x 20&1/8" concert poster for the Association appearing with Sopwith Camel, the Grass Roots and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 7/22-23/1966.
Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 18 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series.
Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to very good/excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; all four corners have received a moderate amount of work (it can be seen when the poster is tilted towards a light source)- paper fills/repairs, a bit of in-painting (also on the "me" of "Comes" in the center of the image area, and at various points around the outer margin area), along with a slight tape pull on the reverse and a bit of tightening to the paper fibers in a couple of areas, but overall the restoration work is pretty decent (I'm not certain who did this one)... a very presentable-looking example of this somewhat hard-to-find early Fillmore poster.
INCREDIBLY popular and iconic Fillmore image, this piece often gets chosen for articles and essays as one of the best representations of psychedelic lettering.
