Original 1st printing 7&3/4 x 11" undated (*early 1969 -see below) concert/event flyer for the "Boston Sound Pop Festival", a multi-week series of shows featuring local Boston-based bands (including the J. Geils Blues Band, Phluph, Orphans, Colwell-Winfield Blues Band, Cloud, Universal Underpass, Third World Raspberry Zeit, Sky People and Eden's Children), held at the Catacombs in Boston, MA. (* according to the J. Geils blog, at least one show was scheduled, then cancelled- see below) Designer unknown, thin flat stock concert flyer is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there is a soft thin vertical crease running down the center of the piece, along with a series of semi-pronounced handling creases, a tiny 1/2" bend in the upper left corner tip and a stray stress crease or two hiding within the image area, otherwise fine. Very cool oddball late-'60's concert artifact from a fairly obscure (and TINY) venue. *02/14-15/69 – The J. Geils Blues Band @ The Catacombs, Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival. Benefit for Project 50, a YMCA affiliated organisation w/Sky People, The Third World Raspberry, Cloud, Travis Pike’s Tea-Party & The Collwell-Winfield Blues Band. Festival was due to take place at The Boston Arts Project in a loft over a bar at 1088 Boylston St. but it lost it’s license after a police raid five days before. (thanks to the J. Geils blogspot for this info)
