Original 1st printing 8&3/4 x 11&1/4" benefit (*for the Council for Civic Unity) concert flyer, "Abe Lincoln's Birthday", which featured the Grateful Dead appearing with Moby Grape, Sly & the Family Stone, Notes from the Underground and the New Salvation Army Band at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 2/11/1967.
Art by Hank Lelo, image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this show falls on the same date as BG 49), but it does appear in the Art of Rock on page 151 (plate 2.73) in the "Fillmore Auditorium Benefits" chapter and is credited to Bill Graham in the top margin.
Thin stock flyer is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are a couple of semi-pronounced thin diagonal bends (roughly 4" and 8", respectively) traversing the upper left quadrant of the image area (going from the upper left margin through Abe's head up to the top right margin), along with a 1/2" tear in the lower right margin, a light amount of handling wear, a stray edge ding or two and a couple of soft corner tips, otherwise fine.
Nifty little original early-'67 Fillmore artifact with a fantastic all-Bay Area lineup, highlighted by none other than the Grateful Dead and Sly & the Family Stone appearing together on the same bill.
