Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" concert handbill for Love (featuring Arthur Lee) appearing with the Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band and Big Brother & the Holding Company (pre-Janis Joplin) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/20-22/1966.

 

 Art by Wes Wilson, image ("Hupmobile-8") is # 9 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 

 Thin flat stock handbill is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; there are a pair of staple holes with a couple of tiny wedge tears in the top center margin, along with a pair of soft stains in the center of the photo and in  the lower left margin, a bit of light handling wear, a couple of tiny pin-prick age spots along the left margin, a few stray surface smudges and tiny stains and a couple of nearly-invisible bends (one is only visible on the reverse), otherwise fine.

 

 Very nice-looking gently-used example of this early Family Dog handbill.
