Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for the Grateful ("Greatful") Dead appearing with Sopwith Camel at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 8/19-20/1966.

 Thin flat stock flyer is in excellent (B+) condition; there is a semi soft diagonal bend stretching along the upper right margin, along with a couple of soft thin edge creases scattered around the outer margin area and a soft pinch ding or two hiding within the image area, otherwise fine.

 

 Very crisp/bright example of this early Grateful Dead flyer from the Avalon. Also, this was reportedly the same weekend that Warner Brothers' Joe Smith signed the Dead to their recording contract. Historic!
