ORIGINAL 16&1/4 x 18&1/4" (approximately- edges are hand-torn) 1991 preliminary/concept artwork on tracing paper by the inimitable Rick Griffin. (*unsigned) Rendered in colored marker, the piece is an album cover design for a band called Tulsa, for an album of songs inspired by S.E. Hinton's 1960's-era young adult novel, "The Outsiders". In addition to the aforementioned irregular/hand-torn edges, there is a light amount of moisture creasing to the paper and a few tiny tears scattered around the outer edges, but a letter grade is irrelevant in this case, as it is a one-of-a-kind original piece of (presumably unused) production material. VERY cool-looking one-of-a-kind Rick Griffin ORIGINAL drawing, the layout on this one is AWESOME.
