Original 1st printing* 14 x 22&1/4" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Charlie Musselwhite and Petris at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 5/30-6/1/1968.

 Art by Alton Kelley, image ("Memorial") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 179 (plate 2.160). *this example has UNBLOCKED/ORIGINAL dates along the top margin (see below)

 Medium flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; there are pin/tack holes in each corner, a light to moderate amount of handling/creasing along the lower margin/ticket outlet area and along the top edge, a few light handling dings/tiny stress creases here and there, a couple of tiny stray edge dings and a thin 3" diagonal bend in the upper right margin/corner, otherwise fine.

*a number of existing examples that were distributed and hung up at the time of the shows have the days of the week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) at the top of the poster blacked out with magic marker.
