Original 1st printing 19 x 28" concert/event poster for the 6/3-4/1967 KFRC Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival, held at Mount Tamalpais Amphitheater in Marin, CA.
Two-day event (2 weeks before Monterey Pop) poster lists performances by the Miracles, the Blues Magoos, the Byrds, Wilson Pickett, the Seeds, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe & the Fish, Grass Roots, Tim Hardin, Mojo Men, Moby Grape, the Sparrow, the Loading Zone and Every Mother's Son. (*not all of the acts listed actually played, and there were several bands not listed on the poster that did appear- Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band, for one.)
Art by Stanley Mouse, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 227 (plate 2.319).
Medium-thick flat index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; this example has a series of thin horizontal stress creases running along the top margin, with a tiny 1/4" tear in the top right margin, a thin strip of discoloration/light toning going around the outer borders of the image area (all limited to the red pass of ink, the blue is not affected), along with a few light handling dings/fingerprints/tiny stress creases hiding within the image area, a couple of well-hidden edge/corner dings, a couple of semi-thin bends in the lower right corner/margin and a trace of surface wear, otherwise fine.
A very nice-looking gently-used example of this early-'67 event poster from one of the very first "hippie" festivals. Check out a great montage of home-shot Super-8 footage from the event HERE:
