Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 17&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with the New Riders of the Purple Sage (*along with special guests David Crosby on 7/14 and Janis Joplin on 7/16) at the Euphoria (Pepperland) in San Rafael, CA on 7/14 and 7/16/1970. Art by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 364 (plate 4.93). Medium-thick glossy coated index stock poster is in decent/used (B/B- to B-) condition; the yellow pass of ink is somewhat faded throughout the central image area (top and bottom margins have full halftone color), and there are a number of semi-pronounced stress bends/creases and a series of surface stains (including a pronounced coffee-cup ring in the lower left corner) scattered around the image/margin area, along with a pair of circular indentations and a tiny tear in the lower right corner, tape pulls on the reverse and a bit of light surface rubbing in a few areas, otherwise fine. Additionally, this example (unlike most) does NOT have the usual hand-written date corrections above "Dead". VERY cool original (and increasingly hard-to-find) 1970 Grateful Dead poster from a legendary set of Marin shows. Listen to the 7/14 show (with David Crosby sitting in on "Cumberland Blues") HERE; https://archive.org/details/gd1970-07-14.sbd.unknown.96628.sbeok.shnf
