 ITEM DESCRIPTION

Original 1st printing 13&3/8 x 8&1/2" concert flyer/large handbill for the first three weekends of shows held at the Boston Tea Party (53 Berkeley St location) in Boston, MA from 1/20-2/4/1967.

All three weekends (1/20-21, 1/27-28 and 2/3-4) were headlined by the Lost, plus the Hallucinations (not listed, from 1/27-28) and Catharsis (from 2/3-4- also mentions the Chambers Brothers coming "next week").

This is the SECOND-STATE version of the "Grand Opening" image, with the additional green teacup overprint (added after the third weekend was booked), making this the 2nd image in the Boston Tea Party series.

Art by David Hahn, thin flat stock flyer is in SUPERB near mint (A- to A-/B+condition; just a couple of ULTRA-soft pinch bends hiding within the image area, along with a trace of edge wear (a few tiny dings scattered around the outer edges) and a touch of edge toning, otherwise it is as clean/crisp as they come.

A VERY sharp example of one of the EARLIEST Tea Party images, this example comes right from a member of one of the first (and most frequent) local bands that performed at the Tea Party... IMPECCABLE provenance on this one!
