Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" concert handbill for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 3/25-27/1966.
Art by Wes Wilson (concept by Chet Helms), image is # 3 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Thin flat stock handbill is in good/decent (B/B-) condition; there is an approximately 1" tape shadow with a 3/4" diagonal tear in the top center margin, along with a series of semi-camouflaged dings, light bends and handling creases scattered around the image area, a 1" diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a soft tape shadow and tiny bend in the bottom center margin, a bit of off-register printing along the left side of the image area and a couple of tiny tape remnants and a decent-sized tape shadow on the reverse, otherwise fine.
MEGA-EARLY Family Dog handbill from the pre-Avalon period.
