Original 1st printing 5&3/4 x 8&3/8" concert handbill for the one and only Captain Beefheart (and His Magic Band) appearing with the Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 6/17-18/1966.
Art by Stanley Mouse, image is # 13 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.
Thin flat stock handbill is in very good (B/B+) condition; there is a pair of tiny staple holes in the top center margin with a couple of tiny drag tears going up to the edge, along with a bit of light handling wear, a light amount of red ink spread along the lower left margin/edge, a couple of tiny bends scattered around the outer margin area, a couple of nearly-invsible pin holes hiding in the upper right quadrant of the artwork and a touch of surface wear, otherwise fine.
Great-looking example of this VERY early Avalon handbill (Mouse's very first design for Chet and the Dog).
