Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for the Grateful Dead appearing with Oxford Circle at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 9/16-17/1966.

 

 Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (with the central image of the skeleton by Edmund Sullivan), image ("Skeleton & Roses") is # 26 in the Family Dog/Avalon series.

 

 Thin flat stock flyer is in used (B-) condition; there is a moderate degree of toning, a fairly heavy amount of edge/corner wear, several flattened thin bends, handling creases, a large tape pull in the right center margin, a fairly decent amount of edge wear... you get the idea, this one has been around the block a few times.

 

 Conditional issues notwithstanding, this is still a pretty cool original "Skeleton & Roses" flyer that wouldn't look bad in a nice old frame.
