Original 1st printing 17&1/2 x 22&1/2" concert poster for Janis Joplin (and Her (Kozmik Blues) Band) appearing with the James Cotton Blues Band at the Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City, OK on 10/25/1969. (*show unconfirmed) Design by R. McIntosh and BG Vesper, medium-thin flat vellum stock (almost like thin construction paper) concert poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; there are a series of thin diagonal "accordion" compression bends in the lower right corner (covering about 1&1/2-2" square), several ultra-thin vertical bends traversing the length of the image area (mostly visible from the reverse), a few stray thin stress bends and light creases hiding within the image area, a 1/2" tear in the bottom center margin, a couple of small corner bumps, a light strip of discoloration along the top left margin (about 3" long) and a few tiny edge nicks scattered around the outer margin area, otherwise fine. Uncommon (and very cool-looking) late-'69 Janis Joplin concert poster from Oklahoma. While the jury is still out on whether or not this show happened, you can stream the Wichita show from the night before (10/24) HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Dqx71jxWPk
