Official promoter-issued (1966) 2nd printing 14 x 20" concert poster for NYC folk/blues/rock legends the Blues Project (featuring Al Kooper) appearing with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 4/22-23/1966.

 

 Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 5 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. This was the first full-color poster in the series, as well as the first Family Dog show held at the Avalon.

 

 Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A- to A-/B+) condition; just a tiny pin-prick smudge in the upper right corner and the slightest whisper of handling, otherwise fine.
