Original 1st printing 6&3/4" diameter round double-sided concert/event handbill for the 1968 Newport Pop Festival, held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA from 8/3-4/1968.

 Designer unknown/not listed, image (yellow/green version) is featured in the Art of Rock on page 272 (plate 3.61)- this is the BLUE/GREEN version.

 Handbill lists festival participants Tiny Tim, Sonny & Cher, Jefferson Airplane, Eric Burdon & the Animals, the Byrds, Chambers Brothers, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Butterfield Blues Band, Blue Cheer, James Cotton Blues Band, Grateful Dead, Electric Flag, Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf, Things to Come and Illinois Speed Press.

 Medium-thin flat index card stock handbill is in absolutely fantastic near mint (A-) condition; aside from a small pinch bend just under "Presents" and a thin horizontal bend just to the right of "Harve", it is a very sharp/clean example of this neat little original 1968 festival handbill from Southern California.
